The Community Services and Health Sector is Australia’s largest and fastest growing sector. A new qualification, Certificate III in Individual Support will be available from February 2016. The team at Corporate First Aid Australia is working hard to develop training to meet the new qualification and to ensure that our training is customised to support the needs of aged care facilities and community care organisations.

In July, this year CFAA signed an Interagency Partnership Agreement with South West Community Care (SWCC).

Our excellent reputation for ensuring our graduates are ‘work ready’ is spreading throughout our region. CFAA is the preferred provider for aged care and first aid training, and SWCC has joined others in recognising the ‘CFAA difference’.

South West Community Care delivers Home and Community Care services to the Shires of Harvey, Capel and Dardanup and all the townships that they encompass. If you are interested in HACC services and programs please contact 9782 4000 or complete an e-contact form on the home page on

CFAA plans to initiate our traineeship program for aged care and community services in January 2016 and we are currently customising training packages to provide dual qualifications to suit SWCC’s particular needs.

CFAA is committed to forging other similar agreements with recognised and respected organisations including student practicum agreements. Facility managers have the opportunity to get to know each individual student and this provides the potential for trainees to secure employment at the end of the traineeship.

This is good news for those who would like to change careers or move from part-time employment into full-time, once their training is complete.
