Simply put, Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is an assessment process.
It involves assessing an individual’s relevant prior learning (including formal, informal and non-formal learning) to determine if their knowledge and skills previously gained, relate to the obtaining of a particular qualification.
We all learn as we travel through life and obtain a range of transferable skills. These can be sometimes be thought of as irrelevant, but are they?
Corporate First Aid Australia has been granted government funding to offer RPL to people who are seeking their knowledge and skills recognised, where they relate to outcomes for workers trained in Certificate III in Individual Support.
Perhaps you were one of our prior students who became qualified in the Certificate III in Aged Care?
It is hard to get anything for nothing! Did we mention this is a free service?
CFAA have secured government funding to enable people to maintain current qualifications. Funding is through Future Skills WA www.futureskills.wa.gov.au
Are you already working in the community services and health industry and want to hold the latest qualification?
You may like to apply if:
- You already hold a qualification in disability, aged and/or home and community care
- You are currently working in a support worker role in either a residential care facility or home and community organisation.
If you would like to know more about RPL, give us a call on 1300 177 337 or email firstname.lastname@example.org and we will be happy to talk to you about our free RPL service.
