Basic resuscitation for babies and children. What to do if your child is choking or needs CPR. Also includes any topics you particularly what to know about in relation to your child. A baby and child manikin available to practice CPR/choking. A practical class for your individual learning with no assessments. Course taught by a Paediatric and Critical Care trained Clinical Nurse (and mum!) with over 19 years experience with children.
A certificate of attendance will be issued.

A nationally recognized statement of attainment valid for 12 months.
On-line theory completed in your own time (average time depending on previous experience is 30 min to 1 hour), then practical assessment done one-on-one. Contact our office to arrange a time with our Trainer to visit you at your home or office.

Meets industry standards for performing basic life support skills. Suitable for people requiring a Basic First Aid Certificate for employment in the workplace. Includes performing CPR and management of other illness/injury such as burns, fractures, bleeding, shock, chest pain and allergic reaction. Complete theory online then make a booking for the practical component.
Unit HLTFA201B Perform Basic Life Support.
A nationally recognized statement of attainment is issued which is valid for 1 year.

Includes Units HLTCPR201B and HLTFA201B and incorporates additional topics such as bites and stings, cold/heat illness, poisoning, chemical exposure, medical conditions (such as asthma, epilepsy, stroke, diabetes, and heart disease), legislation and general management of injury/illness in the workplace.
HLTFA301C Apply First Aid
A nationally recognized statement of attainment valid for 3 years. A yearly refresher of CPR is required to keep up to date with current practice.

Participants may attend any course and choose not to do the assessments. They will be issued with a certificate of attendance not attainment.

This qualification reflects the role of individuals who take the first line of management in a wide range of organisational and industry contexts. At this level frontline managers provider leadership and guidance to others and take responsibility for the effective functioning and performance of the team and its work outcomes. They may have existing qualifications and technical skills in any given vocation or profession, yet require skills or recognition in supervisory functions. For example:

Ten units of competence - 7 core units plus 3 elective units. One elective unit may be selected from any currently endorsed training package or accredited course but must be relevant to the work outcome, local industry requirements and the qualification level at Certificate III level or above, and must contribute towards the vocational outcomes of the program. This elective could be one you currently hold and intend to train in, such as first aid, administration, computing, rigging, scaffolding etc.
